DISCOVERING MADAKET, NANTUCKET

On the western-most end of Nantucket sits the census designated place of Madaket. With a population of 291 residents according to data collected by the Census in 2020, Madaket is home to just a few hundred islanders. However, it is a very popular vacation spot for thousands of visitors every year, and that's for a handful of reasons.

Madaket Beach

With its lush, soft sand and gorgeous sunsets, Madaket Beach is a popular spot to enjoy the sunshine, waves, and setting sun. It's known for its powerful currents and strong surf, so when hopping into the ocean, be mindful of rip currents and undertows. Whether you're looking to relax in your beach chair, take a stroll on the sand, or surf the waves, put Madaket Beach on your list of places to visit when adventuring on Nantucket.

Millie's

Millie's is a fantastic restaurant in Madaket that is open seasonally from May to October. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, their menu is expansive and delicious, as is their beverage selection. If you're looking for a space to host a party, they accommodate for private events and have catering services as well. Right around the corner from the popular dining spot, you'll also find Millie's Market. Selling apparel, accessories, and drinkware, you'll be sure to find a souvenir for yourself or a gift for a loved one.

Check out Smith's Point, a 1.5 mile long shoreline at the western-most point in Madaket.
